Finding and capturing the value potential of a deal requires the ability to navigate through complexity. That’s where Monica comes in. She has helped her clients identify cost synergies of up to $200 million and then successfully execute the initiatives required to capture that value.
Monica’s experience spans the whole deal continuum—from diligence to post close—supporting both corporate clients and private equity investors. Clients particularly value her expertise in separation and carve-out transactions. She has managed carve-outs of up to $5 billion in revenue, working with business leaders across all corporate functions to see deals through to successful closing, and developed carve-out tracking and other tools to facilitate successful separation.
Her experience spans a variety of industries, including technology, retail, industrial products, and financial services, as well as deals involving operations in Latin America, Asia, and Europe.
Before joining West Monroe in 2023, Monica spent over a decade in PwC’s M&A advisory group. She received a bachelor’s degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey and an MBA and master’s degree in in information systems management from Boston University.
What makes Monica different
When Monica isn’t building value through successful transactions, she’s probably building the perfect music playlist. She enjoys live music and attends as many concerts and music festivals as possible—more than 100 to date.
She also likes to stay active, whether that is through yoga, HIIT classes, cycling, or running. She once completed the Pan-Mass Challenge—a bike-a-thon that raises money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute—riding 80 miles in one day.
