Connor Kohlenberg

Senior Manager Mergers & Acquisitions New York

Connor’s practical and creative solutions create value for private equity clients during due diligence, as well as post-close separation and integration. With extensive experience in carve-outs, divestitures, and spin-offs, he can quickly assess the risk and cost implications of separating a business unit or joining organizations.

He has translated this insight into hundreds of millions of dollars in benefits – helping clients negotiate lower purchase prices, avoid excessive transition service agreement costs, and/or capture synergies.

His experience spans industries. For example, he led the carve-out of a $1.5 billion global manufacturing division and its integration with an existing US based food manufacturer of the same size. He also led the carve-out and restructuring of a $150 million division of a £2 billion aerospace and defense company.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and has attended executive management courses at the Yale School of Management.

What makes Connor different

He enjoys traveling and has visited more than 50 countries. Closer to home, in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, he appreciates the accessibility to restaurants and the West Side Highway running path.

Where Connor makes an impact

He is an emphatic leader, always focused on looking for ways to build up the morale and skills of his team. He received West Monroe’s coveted Sequoia award, which recognizes outstanding mentors.

As a member of the board of the Farmer School of Business Center for Business Leadership, he advises on strategic and policy matters related to creating long-term organizational value and makes sure the Center has the financial resources to accomplish its objectives.
