Roger Taylor is a senior manager in West Monroe Partners’ Financial Services practice, based in Chicago. He has more than 20 years of experience applying business and technology expertise to drive growth and strategic advantage for banks, credit unions, banking technology providers, and other service providers to the financial services industry.
Roger Taylor is an accomplished financial services consultant and executive with experience that spans all facets of the industry, including commercial and consumer lending, commercial and retail banking, commercial real estate finance, lending policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, and bank operations. He complements that experience with a distinctive blend of business and technology expertise that has enabled him to lead successful strategy development and execution, business process improvement, merger planning and execution, and technology projects for an array of large financial institutions across North America.
Before joining West Monroe Partners, Roger was a vice president with BMO Harris Bank, responsible for commercial lending policy, procedures, and compliance and risk management. During his five-year tenure with the bank, he also led integration of the commercial banks of BMO Harris and M&I Bank, and he led teams of internal consultants on process-improvement initiatives throughout the retail, commercial, and private banks.
Previously, Roger was a senior manager with BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting), where he led teams of consultants in strategy, technology, and process improvement projects for financial institutions across the country. He was also a commercial real estate lender for Heller Financial Services, where he negotiated, closed, and managed a $200 million portfolio of participating equity and debt loans in commercial real estate.
Roger earned a Master of Business Administration degree with distinction from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, with concentrations in Finance, Organization Behavior, and Strategy. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with high honors from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
