In Dean’s newsletter, he referenced how a recent mix of world events – natural disasters and economic uncertainty alike – drove the need for manufacturers to rethink their supply chain. In response to unpredictable market conditions, West Monroe Partners’ supply chain experts in Canada continue to reshape their offerings to provide holistic solutions for executives who are scrutinizing supply chain operations more closely than ever.
Virtually every organization is trying to achieve aggressive revenue goals and profitability expectations while maintaining the highest standards for quality and service. But in today's environment, many find that achieving them all can be a real balancing act. Manufacturers seek partners that not only understand the intricate processes designed to keep the factories running flawlessly, but can also ensure their products make it onto trucks and store shelves on-time and in the most efficient manner.
To grow responsibly and serve our clients with these timely, cost-efficient solutions, West Monroe brought in three new members to the Montreal office and signed on two new partners. These growth initiatives allow our team to leverage a wider range of experience and expertise across more functional areas than what each organization could offer individually.
In August 2011, Nathalie Brunet and members of Groupe Brio!, a Montréal-based industrial engineering consultancy specializing in Lean, Flowcasting, and Supply Chain solutions, joined West Monroe. The addition of Nathalie and team provide an integrated line of services for our customer, offering everything from process optimization to best in class technology implementation. With these additions, the firm gained the deep expertise of Nathalie Brunet, a supply chain expert with more than 20 years of industrial engineering experience. Nathalie and her team specialize in supply chain consulting and optimization, as well as the Lean approach. Their broad capabilities include work with manufacturers, distributors, and healthcare professionals throughout Quebec.
In addition to this change, West Monroe sought out new partnerships to help seamlessly deliver demand and supply chain planning solutions essential for organizations transforming their distribution networks. In industries forced to undergo dynamic change in response to economic pressures, such as increasing prices as it relates to raw manufacturing materials and gas, this type of operational optimization is critical.
By partnering with DynaSys in the North American market, West Monroe is able to offer a complete supply chain solution that is flexible and adaptable to the realities of our clients’ diverse operations. This technology enables us to provide a best-of-breed demand management, inventory management, distribution management and sales and operations planning solution.
Finally, we have formed a new partnership with Descartes, a firm offering a proven product that enables us to tailor transportation management solutions specifically to our clients’ needs. This innovative solution is the result of more than 20 years of experience in the transportation market and will allow clients to manage and optimize their transportation networks.
To maintain the highest standards of service and meet the unique needs of our customers in the supply chain function, West Monroe continues to look for the most innovative, time-tested, and successful solutions.
