West Monroe Appoints Three New Directors; Promotes Two Current Directors to New Roles

CHICAGO, IL - West Monroe Partners, a national business and technology consultancy, today announced the appointment of three new directors and the promotion of two current directors to new roles.

West Monroe appointed the following new directors:

Benjamin Baenen, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Chicago, works with payers, providers, behavioral health, and other healthcare organizations to lead large-scale business and transformational initiatives that drive growth, improve performance, and enhance customer experience. He has spent the majority of his 10-plus year career at West Monroe focused on helping healthcare clients capitalize on new business channels, reduce costs, increase auto-adjudication rates, standardize business processes, and implement paperless workflow. He also has supported several major industry mergers and acquisitions.

Joel Brock, Operations Excellence, Chicago, has helped shape and lead aspects of West Monroe’s Operations Excellence practice, particularly in the area of workforce optimization. He draws on more than 15 years of experience in industrial engineering, consulting, retail, transportation, and logistics to help clients reduce operational costs and improve productivity. He has a track record for delivering large-scale supply chain utilization, labor scheduling, and material handling solutions for global retailers and wholesalers, as well as workforce optimization solutions for clients in other industries. 

Brett Mastalli, Financial Services, New York, has played a key role in expanding West Monroe’s industry capabilities and client base on the East Coast. He has more than 20 years of experience working with large and mid-sized U.S. financial institutions as both an executive and consultant. A respected and experienced advisor to senior industry leaders, his areas of focus include commercial lending transformation, digital bank transformation, customer experience design, omnichannel delivery, branch rationalization, business process improvement, core banking, and risk and regulatory solutions.

West Monroe also promoted the following directors to new roles:

Mazen Ghalayini, Customer Experience, Chicago, to managing director. He leads the firm’s Customer Experience practice. 

Neil Hartman, Financial Services, Chicago, to senior director. He is the firm’s national lead for innovation in the financial services industry.

All appointments and promotions were effective March 1, 2019.
