Sean Adkins is a managing director and leader of the firm’s Operations Excellence practice and Columbus office. He has twenty years of experience, having worked in both Big Five consulting and Fortune 15 corporations. During that time, he has developed expertise in business strategy and process improvement and a solid track record for delivering tangible performance results and achieving return on a wide range of high-profile business investments through innovative business and technology solutions.
Sean's professional background includes leading major business initiatives in the retail, healthcare and financial services industries. He has substantial experience managing large, cross-functional project teams and multi-million-dollar program budgets, as well as programs that span many physical locations and countries around the world.
As West Monroe Partners’ Operations Excellence practice leader, Sean oversees many of the company’s transformational engagements to help clients achieve greater productivity by improving business strategy, operational processes, workforce management and technology capabilities. In this capacity, he leads project teams that pair highly experienced business consultants with deep technologists to deliver sustained value.
Sean has specific depth and expertise in retail store operations gained from his leadership of client projects focused on optimizing associate utilization and process execution through the use of concepts such as LEAN, Six Sigma, and Engineered Standards.
Sean was a principal of Mosaic Consulting LLC, which merged with West Monroe Partners in 2005. Prior to forming Mosaic Consulting, Sean served as a program office manager with Cardinal Health, a manager in Arthur Andersen's Business Consulting practice, and a program manager with MicroAge Technology Services.
Sean earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management Information Systems (MIS) from Miami University. He is a corporate board member and seminar chair for Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership, an organization devoted to helping young people make a difference and become positive catalysts for change in the home, school, workplace and community.
