Data Lineage: Breaking Open the Black Box of Credit and Booking Processing Data
Date : June 15, 2016

Understanding how data flows and who is editing the data during credit and booking processing is critically important for compliance reporting, but the complexity of bank operations can make data visibility and traceability very challenging. For many banks, this whole area remains something of a “black box.”

This article explains the concept of data lineage, how we produce it, and, more significantly, how bank executives can use it to realize operational benefits well beyond compliance.
