Workforce Magazine Ranks West Monroe as No. 31 on 2017 Workforce 100 List

May 24, 2017 — West Monroe Partners, a business and technology consulting firm, today announced as a prestigious honoree of the 2017 Workforce 100 presented by Workforce magazine, a Human Capital Media publication. Now in its fourth year, Workforce 100 designates companies as the best in HR management through statistical analysis conducted by Human Capital Media Advisory Group. West Monroe ranked No. 31 in its first time on the list.

The Workforce 100 chart indicates the rank order and scores of the 100 companies that performed best in seven core areas: workplace culture; employee benefits; diversity and inclusion; employee development/ talent management; HR innovation/management; leadership development; recruiting and talent acquisition. The working assumption is that high performance in these categories would provide a reasonable proxy for overall HR excellence.

West Monroe’s Chief People Officer Susan M. Stelter is pictured on the cover of the magazine and featured in the cover story about first-time companies on the list. In the article, she highlighted West Monroe’s people-first culture. “It is an honor to be ranked No. 31 out of the top 100 companies for best-in-class people practices,” Stelter said. “This is a testament to the passion and engagement of our 850-plus employee owners who make the firm a great place to work every day.”

West Monroe’s unique people practices include a 1+1+1 program where the firm donates 1% of its time, 1% of its talent, and 1% of its treasure to the greater good. Employees earn paid time off for each hour they volunteer through this program. The firm also supports employees’ philanthropic and humanitarian interests with an extended three- to six-month compensated leave through the Fischer Fellowship Program.

To find out which companies are the best for HR management, Workforce editors, along with researchers from the Human Capital Media Advisory Group, the magazine’s research arm, created a statistical formula to sift through publicly available information to separate the best from the rest. The result of that analysis is the Workforce 100 list.

“We’re pleased this awards program continues to grow in popularity, but also in its ability to report organizations’ performance with greater accuracy,” said Rick Bell, Workforce magazine’s editorial director. “Our rankings are compiled with tangible data backed by extensive research, and it continues to prove valuable in setting industry benchmarks.”

Workforce 100 honorees were announced on April 21, 2017 and West Monroe is profiled in the May/June issue of Workforce magazine.
