CHICAGO – West Monroe Partners, a national business and technology consultancy, today announced it will add nearly 35,000 square feet to its downtown Chicago office, bringing its total Chicago footprint to 104,000 square feet. The new space is on a portion of the 10th floor of The Franklin, located at 222 W. Adams Street and 227 W. Monroe Street, and will open on Monday, June 18.
West Monroe already occupies the building’s entire 11th floor, spanning its two towers. This is the third major expansion of West Monroe’s space since the company moved to The Franklin in 2012.
West Monroe, founded in Chicago in 2002, today has nearly 700 people based in the city. The office includes a rapidly growing team of business consultants and deep technical specialists that serves clients in key industries, including healthcare and life sciences, financial services, energy and utilities, consumer and industrial products, and other sectors, as well as 85 management and shared services personnel who support local and national operations.
In addition to providing more seating and meeting capacity, the new space will house West Monroe’s award-winning Performance Services practice, which provides IT service desk and core data center operations support as well as infrastructure, application, data, and security management services for clients nationwide.

West Monroe’s new space, built by contractor JC Anderson using eco-friendly materials and reflecting the firm’s trademark open working environment, includes features such as height-adjustable desks, stand-up teaming areas, workstations with televisions, and 31 new conference rooms named after Chicago Transit Authority “L” stops. It also features two wellness rooms, a break area with snacks and drinks, and an additional training room to support the firm’s learning goals.
“We wanted to create a seamless and consistent experience regardless of where people are working within our office,” said Caryn Alavi, senior manager of real estate and project lead for the expansion. “While consultants spend much of their time in the field working with clients, our office remains the heart of our distinctive culture of collaboration and cross-functional teamwork. We have put great attention into preserving that, even as our people work between floors.”
