Tony Kong Joins West Monroe as Director

West Monroe Partners, a North American business and technology consulting firm, today announced that Tony Kong has recently joined the firm’s Seattle office as a director in the Healthcare practice.

Kong joined West Monroe from Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, a Blue Cross Blue Shield licensee in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Utah. Over the course of his career, he has gained deep healthcare industry experience relevant to helping enterprises navigate their most pressing issues, including full-scale operations and process improvement, cost containment, information management, regulatory change, mergers and acquisitions, collaboration, and product/service innovation.

“Tony Kong adds a significant West Coast presence to West Monroe’s Healthcare practice, as well as substantial hands-on experience guiding transformational projects for Fortune 1000 firms,” said Tom Bolger, managing director and founder of the firm’s Seattle office. “His deep industry and leadership experience will enable us to expand what already is one of West Monroe’s fastest growing practices, implementing enterprise wide initiatives to assist clients who are facing an unprecedented set of business issues and changes.”

Previously, Kong was an associate partner with Ascentium, a global consulting firm. Other past roles have included chief information officer for Captura, Inc., a global internet business service provider of travel and expense management solutions; director of information technology for Edmark Corporation in Redmond, Washington; MIS manager for Starwave Corporation in Bellevue, Washington; and systems project manager for Group Health Cooperative in Seattle.

He earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree with an emphasis in Organizational Management from the University of Washington and is currently a degree candidate in the University of Notre Dame Executive MBA program.
