Zach Savage

Senior Architect Technology Chicago

Zach is the first person his clients turn to whenever they have a cybersecurity question – and it’s not just because of his expertise as a cybersecurity consultant. As manager of West Monroe’s Cybersecurity Advisory for Private Equity (CAPE) offering, Zach may provide up to 80 risk assessments across a single private equity portfolio in a given year. He knows his client’s business and compliance objectives intimately and partners with them to build a culture of security.

In addition to managing CAPE, Zach provides tailored guidance in the areas of regulatory compliance and security strategy across a variety of industries, all while maintaining a collaborative, engaging work environment as a leader. Passionate about developing the next generation of leaders, he is focused on mentoring and empowering team members to grow their skills and careers.

Zach has a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University where he majored in Computer & Information Technology and minored in Communications.

What makes Zach different

Zach’s enthusiasm for technology shows up at home, too – he’s built several custom PCs tailored for gaming, video editing, and home security, is currently working on enhancing a home automation system, and recently installed solar panels on his home. Zach enjoys good food and travel, which means he often plans international vacations around specific restaurants. He lives in Chicago with his wife Anne, son Miles, and Alaskan Malamute Chance.

Where Zach makes an impact

As an avid film buff, Zach is an associate board member with the Chicago International Film Festival, supporting fundraising and event planning efforts for film-related events around Chicago. Zach volunteers for Lurie Children’s hospital’s annual fundraiser Chicago Dance Marathon and is also a member of ISACA, a global association focused on IT governance.
