LinkedIn

Mike understands his private equity clients deeply, because he’s walked in their shoes: prior to joining West Monroe, he spent the bulk of his career in the industry.  He applies that knowledge to successfully manage 30+ M&A transactions every year.

Mike has experience serving leading private equity firms, portfolio companies, and strategic buyers in a variety of industries through the entire deal lifecycle, from pre-transaction technology and operational due diligence to post-close integration and separation.

Prior to joining West Monroe Partners, Mike spent more than 10 years at PEAK6 Investments in Chicago, where he was a Director and held a variety of senior leadership positions within their trading businesses and portfolio companies.

Before that, Mike worked in consulting and ran global reporting and analytics teams that specialized in delivering data analytics and reporting solutions to drive business performance and create value.

Mike graduated from Bradley University with a BS in Finance and earned an MBA in finance and accounting from the Keller Graduate School of Management.

What makes Mike different

Mike is known as a personable, collaborative leader with a motivating and decisive style. His energy and dedication shows up in his personal life as well—for instance, he’s seen Dave Matthews Band more than 125 times. A self-described sports junkie, he usually has sports on every TV in the house and cheers for all his favorite local teams. A lifelong Chicagoland resident, he and his wife Jen live in the west suburbs of Chicago with a very spoiled dog.

Where Mike makes an impact

Mike was a member of the technology leadership team and helped manage the firm’s 50+ person IT organization. With a strong technical background coupled with his operational and financial expertise, he brings business and technology silos together to create a clear strategy to achieving his clients’ investment thesis – along with the drive to execute and make it happen.
