A highly respected senior business consultant and deep technologist, Mike advises clients on aligning technology investments with business strategies and plans. He helped a client pursuing a complex software carve-out and merger identify $16 million (12.5%) in annual savings.

In 2015, Mike developed West Monroe’s capabilities to advise the software and high-tech industry. Since then, the firm has become a trusted adviser to over 100 companies in the industry, as well as private equity firms investing in the software sector. Mike is proud to have scaled these capabilities over the years, including a significant expansion with West Monroe’s 2019 acquisition of Waterstone Group.

As a former interim CIO and CTO for several tech companies, Mike has an innate ability to help clients understand the monetary value of technology, helping them identify investments that drive financial value. He is an expert in sell-side readiness, helping companies prepare for transactions and avoid value erosion. In addition, Mike and his team partner with clients on more than 400 transactions annually.

Known for maintaining calm in all situations, Mike takes a creative engineering approach to solving business challenges. Most of all, he enjoys the people side of business and creating win-win situations to make a better business world.

Mike joined West Monroe from NTT Data/The Revere Group. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University. He is speaker on topics such as sell-side preparation, software mergers and next-gen product development.

A husband and father to two adult children, Mike enjoys relaxing with family, golfing, scuba diving, skiing, travel, and exploring everything Chicago has to offer.

Where Mike makes an impact

Mike has created value in his local community (Elmhurst, Illinois) and formed enduring personal relationships by volunteering as a travel baseball and softball coach for over 10 years.
