Michael brings a unique perspective to West Monroe’s Healthcare & Life Sciences team. In addition to the experience he has representing large health system and pharmaceutical companies in regulatory and transactional matters, he also provides legal expertise to both his internal team and external clients. Known for his positive attitude, Michael advises leading private equity firms and client held companies across the healthcare spectrum through strategic growth initiatives including due diligence and post-close integration.
Michael’s extensive deal experience and exposure to the majority of leading healthcare technologies allows him to develop practical solutions to drive organizational transformation and support the objectives of the investment thesis.
Prior to joining West Monroe, Michael was a senior healthcare attorney for The Advis Group, a staff attorney for Kirkland & Ellis, and a consulting project manager for Goldman Sachs. Michael is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois. He earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Nebraska.
Michael and his wife enjoy traveling as much as possible, particularly to Europe. They have plans to venture out in the coming years to India, South Africa, and New Zealand.
While Michael is focused on creating value for his clients such as helping implement technology and operational changes at a major health system that resulted in $65 million in annual cost savings, he is also committed to developing the next generation of leaders. He received West Monroe’s Sequoia award, which recognizes outstanding mentors.
