Energetic, engaging and collaborative, Matt leads innovative projects and programs – including large-scale grid modernization, transmission, and substation infrastructure initiatives – for utilities nationwide and has managed numerous successful utility transformations.
Matt works with utility executives to develop grid modernization strategy, create sound business cases and roadmaps, and navigate regulatory requirements to pave the way for efficient execution.
The keys to Matt’s success are his ability to build and maintain trusting client relationships, develop rapport with all levels of staff, and promote a positive working culture by motivating and recognizing exceptional team member performance.
Matt joined West Monroe after serving in a variety of leadership and management positions with ComEd. He has a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a master’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.
Matthew is a family man. While his work requires almost constant travel, he makes it home on the weekends. Matt credits his two beautiful autistic sons with teaching him what it means to appreciate life to the fullest.
Matthew contributes to the Els Center of Excellence, a world-class autism facility where his children attend school. Matt assists the Els Center with fundraising, including a food and wine event and golf outings.
