Jukka Valkonen

R.N., P.H.N | Director Healthcare & Life Sciences San Francisco

Considered one of the top healthcare experts in the country, Jukka combines innovative thinking, award-winning digital and consumer health products, and high-performing teams to help healthcare companies achieve their growth and revenue goals. How? By transforming care delivery to help them win the hearts of their patients and members. Specifically, he led the care delivery transformation work at a large payer network that contributed to 4 consecutive record revenue years. Some of his Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set reporting also received recognition from NCQA as a Best Practice.

He has a longstanding reputation for continuously challenging the status quo and testing what’s possible. Among his many healthcare innovations: an AI-enabled emotional intelligence robot that serves a patient’s care circle, the largest tech-enabled intensive primary care provider in the US primarily for Medicaid patients, Kaiser’s exchange strategy, and the first dual licensure (clinic and home care) comprehensive services company in California.

As a corporate "multi-sport athlete" with business, clinical and technology skillsets, he is adept in working with all areas of a company. Prior to joining West Monroe, Jukka was the Chief Health and Innovation Officer and Co-founder of Jiseki Health, Inc., a venture backed healthcare company focused on using advanced technology to provide better access and care.

Jukka has a bachelors in nursing science, public health nursing, and cardiac medicine nursing from California State University, and a masters certificate in Executive Management from George Washington University.

What makes Jukka different
