John is well known for his ability to lead complex, technical initiatives that achieve strategic business goals. He’s been doing that for more than two decades. For example, he guided parts of a $150 million program to converge multiple applications and operating companies into a single enterprise application. He directed a customer communications platform that digitized all print customer communications and created a repository for more than 1.5 million customers. He implemented a portfolio management process for a utility that improved scheduling and benefits by more than 30%. And he achieved a 400% return managing an IT portfolio. 

His areas of expertise include predictive and agile delivery methodologies, organizational change management, portfolio management, program marketing and communications, strategic design and delivery, and demand management.  

Before joining West Monroe, he worked for TXU Energy and Accenture. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and Masters degrees in IT and Business from the University of Dallas.

What makes John different

John and his family look forward to the neighborhood Halloween parade every year. He builds Halloween vehicles for his children to match their costumes.  

He also enjoys golfing with his family and friends.

Where John makes an impact

John is passionate about the discipline of program management and, as a mentor, he has instilled many colleagues with this capability over the years. He is also a corporate ambassador with the Program Management Institute.  

In addition, he is an active volunteer with the Austin Street Shelter in Dallas.
