Foster works with private equity sponsors to evaluate investments and implement value creation strategies to maximize enterprise value during the hold period. His experience includes working with strategic and financial buyers across the M&A lifecycle, from due diligence to portfolio value creation to sell-side strategic planning.
Having advised on more than 120 transactions, Foster has developed deep skills in pre-close IT and operations due diligence for carve-outs and corporate divestitures, merger synergy analysis and financial modeling, IT capital budgeting and forecasting, and many other merger-related competencies.

Prior to joining West Monroe, Foster worked in investment banking, alternative asset management, and M&A strategic communications. He has a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and participated in the Executive Management Training Program at the Yale School of Management.
As a child, Foster won a pig calling contest at the Kansas State Fair. He grew up to be a serious Rock Chalk Jayhawk-chanting, advanced statistical analysis-enabled college basketball fan, and a loving husband and father.
Foster has applied his deep expertise in leading the carveout of a $120 million education services business, a $2 billion government construction services organization, and a $400 million multi-geography steel business.
