Penny Wand works with an array of clients to solve business problems with the help of modern cloud technology, data science, machine learning and accelerators, such as the Rapid Analytics Platform. She is an engaging and creative executive who loves solving problems, whether that means turning around an organization, growing one, or defining and executing against strategic client goals.
In addition to possessing broad insight about trends in technology enablement, Penny brings relevant skills in strategy development and organizational change management. She is adept at building bridges between business and technology functions and has a strong track record for guiding teams and teams of teams across diverse functional areas to achieve large-scale program goals.
Penny’s career spans roles with companies of every size and in multiple industries. She has developed unique perspectives and insights across a variety of functions, from sales to operations, and has worked with enterprises in the telecommunications, professional services, consumer electronics, and financial services industries in the United States and globally.
Penny joined West Monroe in 2018 from Pariveda Solutions, where she was a vice president responsible for growing the business by delighting customers and developing people. She led development of opportunities and solutions involving IT strategic roadmaps, custom development, machine learning, data streaming, data lakes, internet of things (IoT), and mobility. She also created and maintained the firm’s standard project management practices.
Her previous consulting roles included partner with multiple boutique firms and director of business process consulting for Telcordia. Her corporate IT roles have included vice president with iGo, Inc.; vice president with CNA Insurance; and executive director with SBC/Ameritech (now AT&T).
Penny earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and completed some coursework as part of the Master of Business Administration program of the University of Michigan.
