Andrew Taylor provides deep technical knowledge of network architecture, network design, and cybersecurity for high-profile, high-risk IT projects. Drawing on expertise in network connectivity architecture and hybrid designs, public cloud connectivity and migration execution, modern data center design, and service-driven network connectivity and security models, he collaborates with clients to develop proven, practical solutions that support business goals and objectives – with an emphasis on high availability and scalability. Beyond implementation, he provides new approaches and recommendations for improving operations using modern toolsets.
Through Andrew’s extensive experience in the fast-paced capital markets and trading environments, which demand high performance and uninterrupted operations, he has gained unique perspectives on scalable connectivity models for enterprise data center and cloud providers. He uses this experience to guide execution teams of technical consultants and engineers to deliver complex projects efficiently while managing risks. For example, Andrew recently completed an 11-month project to re-architect a multi-site data center for a large insurance provider, with a focus on scalability and security, as well as establishing a “cloud-ready” WAN design to enable elastic workloads. His team re-designed current systems from “hot” and “cold” locations to an “active-active” operation able to handle shifting workloads and deliver seamless failover.
Over the course of his career, Andrew has gained diverse industry experience. In addition to his substantial capital markets experience, he has also worked with clients in the capital markets, private equity, energy and utilities, pharmaceutical and life sciences, eCommerce, and retail sectors.
Andrew joined West Monroe after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology with a focus on Networking from Purdue University. He also holds several IT certifications, including CCNA, CCDA, and ITIL Foundations.
