Nathan Porter is a senior manager in West Monroe Partners’ Financial Services practice, based in Seattle. He has a decade of management consulting experience, working with banks and insurance companies of all sizes.
Nate Porter brings a creative approach to program design and a disciplined approach to project execution that helps clients improve operations, strengthen customer relationships, and enhance revenue. Leveraging a strong combination of business acumen and technology expertise, he frequently designs and implements program tools that improve management reporting and increase leadership’s visibility into efforts with many interrelated work streams.
Nate’s primary areas of focus include organizational optimization, merger integration, channel optimization, process improvement, program management, and resource modeling. He often uses West Monroe’s proprietary ActivityTrak platform to gather data and produce customized people analytics that provide the foundation for sustainable strategies.
Nate has worked with some of the world’s largest financial institutions. For example, he supported a merger of two top-10 banks as the program management office (PMO) tools lead and integration readiness project lead. He led multiple finance optimization projects for US affiliates of top-10 global life insurance firms. Additionally, he worked in various compliance functions, including as management reporting lead and program liaison for multiple compliance program workstreams at a top-5 US Bank.
In addition to working with clients in the financial services industry, he also has significant life sciences experience in organizational optimization.
Nate joined West Monroe Partners from CAST Management Consultants, where he was a director specializing in organizational effectiveness. Prior to joining CAST, he worked extensively with database management and database software such as STATA, primarily for regression and economic analysis.
Nate earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pomona College with a concentration in mathematical economics and a minor in geology. He is a Certified Treasury Professional.
