Vadim Orlov is a senior architect in West Monroe Partners’ Technology practice. He has more than 15 years of experience architecting and designing data platforms to drive successful business transformation.
Vadim Orlov works with clients to lead large, transformational projects focusing on solution architecture, design, implementation, testing, and performance tuning. He has extensive experience in analytics data platform architecture, leveraging the best mix of traditional and big data technologies to deliver optimal solutions.
Vadim’s strong combination of business acumen and deep technology expertise enables him to address clients’ most complex analytics challenges. His core expertise includes data modeling, data security, data analytics, data governance, and high-performance data integration. He also has deep experience in an array of technologies and platforms relevant to advanced analytics solutions, including RDBMS platforms, MPP appliances, NoSQL databases, Hadoop platforms, Apache Spark, and cloud platforms.
In addition to delivering solutions for clients, Vadim leads the Data Platforms capability within West Monroe’s Advanced Analytics practice. He oversees development of the firm’s skills and methods related to data acquisition and integration, modeling and structuring to support analytics, ETL, OLAP and semantic layer design, architecture, and implementation. As capability leader, Vadim actively follows the latest big data technology development trends and coordinates POCs and research projects aimed to test and validate new technologies.
Over the course of his career, Vadim has worked with organizations in many industries, including healthcare, insurance, media and entertainment, digital marketing, manufacturing, and retail.
Prior to joining West Monroe Partners, Vadim had 10+ years of consulting experience at Capgemini leading several data and analytics projects.
Vadim earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Moscow State Technical University. He has multiple professional certifications from experience and studies of Microsoft, Oracle, and open source technologies, including recent Microsoft MCITP BI certification.
