Mike Orehowsky offers an exemplary track record for increasing business process efficiencies through simplification, benchmarking, and application of best practices. His ability to deliver tangible improvement is the result of his unique blend of experience and skills in operational and strategic leadership, store operations, labor management and productivity improvement, management effectiveness, financial planning and performance transformation, store and supply chain productivity improvement, inventory management and production planning, KPI and business intelligence development, change management, customer experience, and operational analytics.
Over the course of his career, Mike has gained deep operational experience across all facets of the retail industry, including the grocery, pharmacy, convenience, discount, apparel, fast food/quick service restaurants, and specialty sectors, in addition to supply chain, distribution, and manufacturing operations.
Mike joined West Monroe Partners in 2017 from Giant Eagle, Inc., where he was a retail executive for 13 years. He held a variety of roles, including director of the industrial engineering department, regional business leader in store operations, and senior director of retail supply chain. His experience with Giant Eagle spanned all aspects of the enterprise, from food manufacturing to distribution to grocery, convenience store, and pharmacy operations.
Previously, Mike was a consultant with H.B. Maynard & Company, a boutique workforce performance improvement consultancy. In addition to helping clients improve business practices, he played an instrumental role in developing the firm’s retail performance offerings.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University.
