Kevin O’Connor is a senior manager in West Monroe Partners’ Technology practice, based in Chicago. He is a seasoned information management professional with more than 20 years of experience delivering business intelligence solutions.
Kevin O’Connor applies extensive experience leading and implementing data analytics initiatives that enable clients to use their data to make better business decisions. He leads a variety of projects that encompass strategy, design, implementation and governance.
Kevin’s substantial data warehousing experience includes projects of all sizes and scope. He has developed deep expertise and core skills in data architecture, integration, and data modeling, as well as data visualization and technology project implementation. From his experience, Kevin has built a strong track record for delivering measurable impact in high-priority and challenging environments across an array of industries, including higher education, energy and utilities, healthcare, retail, professional services, manufacturing, and media.
Kevin joined West Monroe Partners in 2018 from Kenway Consulting, where he delivered custom business intelligence solutions. For example, he led a key initiative for an engineering firm to modernize and re-platform its operational applications and then implement business intelligence capabilities that improved the company’s access to data and capabilities for producing relevant business insight.
Previously, Kevin was a practice director for technology consultancy Project Leadership Associates. He was responsible for strategic growth of the Business Intelligence team, with a focus on solution delivery, customer satisfaction, and strategic partnerships. Prior to consulting, Kevin spent 13 years in corporate technology roles with organizations in the healthcare and media sectors. He developed and supported enterprise-wide data warehouses for internal clients.
Kevin earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Loyola University Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Illinois State University.
