Ricardo Machado is a senior manager in West Monroe Partners’ Operations Excellence practice, specializing in enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions. He has nearly 20 years of experience planning, designing, developing, and implementing information systems and business processes.
Ricardo Machado works with companies to enable business goals through effective use of enterprise software applications. He serves as a project manager, integration manager, or functional supply chain lead for complex, large-scale, multi-geography ERP transformation projects. He also helps organizations define business requirements and select the right ERP application and environment for their business needs and goals.
Ricardo has developed a well-honed blend of business consulting experience and technology core skills that that enable him to support clients throughout the implementation lifecycle. His particular areas of expertise include ERP/platform assessment and strategy, ERP software selection, enterprise systems implementation planning and management, change management, and business process improvement and optimization. He has worked with companies in a wide array of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, medical devices, advertising, oil and gas, electronics, insurance, and financial services.
Prior to joining West Monroe in 2015, Ricardo was a senior manager with IBM Global Business Services and a member of the Enterprise Applications practice. He participated in 10 full lifecycle business transformation projects enabled by SAP ERP software, occupying roles such as business analyst, process team lead, and project manager. His responsibilities included driving all phases of a project, including discovery and requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing and training, and ongoing project management.
Previously, Ricardo was a principal consultant with PwC. He has also held several corporate SAP implementation and manufacturing engineering roles.
Ricardo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
