Jon Magin is a senior manager in West Monroe Partners’ Mergers & Acquisitions practice, based in Seattle. He helps clients plan and execute complex transactions and integrations, with a particular focus on banks and insurance.
An accomplished project manager, Jon Magin has spent most of his career guiding clients through the merger and acquisition integration process. Blending strong banking and credit union industry experience with deep understanding of the technology implementation lifecycle, he leads teams of business consultants and technologists to create integration strategies and plans, and then to execute day-one preparation and post-merger integration plans efficiently.
Jon’s experience includes running the integration management office (IMO) for a $4 billion US bank that acquired three companies in a two-month period and then integrated them within six months. He also supported two major credit union mergers. In addition to his extensive financial services experience, he also has worked with clients in an array of other industries, including healthcare, high-tech and software, and private equity. For example, he led integration activity across 15 post-merger integration work streams for a $1.2 billion acquisition by a Fortune 500 technology company.
Jon has also led various other technology-enabled business transformation projects, such as an 18-month business process management transformation project for a regional bank and a security program for a healthcare insurance company that experienced a data breach.
Jon joined West Monroe Partners in 2007 from BuzzBee Company, for which he was a staff accountant. He earned his degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Washington.
