Eric Marks is a senior director with West Monroe Partners' Financial Services practice and leader of the firm’s Payments practice. He has more than 20 years of top-tier management consulting experience in the financial services industry and a strong track record for building and leading teams that consistently deliver value for clients.
As West Monroe’s East Coast Financial Services leader, Eric is responsible for the practice strategy and growth in the local market as well as spearheading the Payments practice nationally.
Over the course of his career, Eric has built and managed relationships with some of the world’s most prominent card companies, banks and lenders, for whom he has crafted creative and innovative solutions to challenging industry problems. He has delivered and overseen a wide variety of consulting projects involving performance improvement, business and technology strategy, partner selection support and contract negotiation, transactional advice/due diligence, organizational design, market assessment, performance benchmarking and portfolio valuation.
In addition to advising clients and delivering solutions, Eric has founded, rebuilt, and led national consulting practices.
Eric joined West Monroe Partners in 2016 from Payments industry boutique Auriemma Consulting Group, where he led the Partnerships practice. He and his team delivered many strategic, transactional and advisory projects involving co-brand, private label, affinity, agent bank, network, processor, back office, and emerging payments partnerships for an array of major merchants, banks, card networks, processors, and payment providers.
Previously, Eric spent nearly 15 years at KPMG Consulting/BearingPoint, where he founded and led the Corporate Real Estate practice before taking on responsibility for leading several major banking and payments industry client relationships. He is a respected thought leader and frequent speaker at industry and client conferences.
Eric earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Lehigh University.
