John Kehr works with an array of retail organizations – including apparel, hypermarket, grocery, and specialty retailers, as well as supply chain and distribution companies – to improve operations and processes so that they can serve customers more effectively.
John has deep core skills in labor planning, forecasting, modeling, and analytics, as well as Lean process improvement and workforce management. He applies these capabilities to help clients define store operations strategies and best practices; develop and implement engineered labor standards; design effective workforce training; and enable successful operational change.
John rejoined West Monroe in 2017 from Accenture where he was a manager in the Operations Workforce Optimization practice. He worked with retailers to implement innovations, develop labor models, and implement engineered labor standards.
In a previous role with West Monroe, John worked with a global retailer to improve business processes and introduce innovations into its operations – resulting in millions of dollars of annual savings in labor hours that the retailer was able to reallocate to activities that improve customer experience and satisfaction. His work involved operations in markets worldwide, including Mexico, Brazil, and China, as well as the United States. He began his career as an industrial engineer with American Greetings, responsible for optimizing labor standards used for scheduling 14,000 part-time retail merchandisers.
John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of South Florida and is a member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers.
