Zach Jones is West Monroe Partners’ chief financial officer and leader of several shared services functions. He has nearly 15 years of broad financial management experience that spans all facets of professional services operations, as well as extensive background as a consultant working with private equity firms to execute transactions and build portfolio value.
As chief financial officer, a member of West Monroe Partners’ executive team, and a trusted advisor to leaders across the company, Zach oversees all aspects of the firm’s financial operations. He is responsible for supporting the company’s offices across the United States and assisting office leaders in driving future growth. He also oversees the Real Estate & Facilities function.
Prior to his appointment as CFO effective August 1, 2018, Zach was the firm’s director of finance, responsible for leading the Finance team and processes as well as various initiatives that enable strong sustained growth and financial performance. During his tenure with West Monroe Partners, Zach has been involved in virtually every major business initiative – including the firm’s conversion to an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), compensation benchmarking programs, several major acquisitions, and projects that improved financial reporting and forecasting and enabled more efficient and effective operations. He also served twice as the firm’s interim CFO.
Zach is an outstanding mentor and team leader whose efforts have helped elevate the operations and performance of the Finance & Accounting team, as well as all of the firm’s shared services functions.
Zach joined West Monroe Partners in 2011 from KPMG, where he progressed to the role of director of transaction services, responsible for developing relationships with private equity clients and providing financial due diligence and business analysis services in conjunction with portfolio company acquisitions. He also worked closely with executives of acquisition target companies to identify key business drivers and historical trends to determine sustainability of earnings and growth potential. Zach received multiple KPMG “Encore Awards” for exceptional performance and exceeding client expectations. He began his career with Ernst & Young.
Zach earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Accounting from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
