Aslam Jamal is a Senior Architect in the Technology Practice at West Monroe Partners, based in New York City. He is a seasoned technical leader with entrepreneurial tendencies and a passion for creating elegantly engineered products.
With over 12 years in the industry, Aslam has leveraged his experience, business acumen, and technical finesse to earn the trust of numerous clients and partners. He has led large, cross-functional teams through complex end-to-end technical initiatives ranging from custom application development to system integrations. Aslam stays focused on the problem-solution fit and ensures that various customer, organizational, and regulatory needs are being given appropriate consideration.
Aslam is a student of development methodologies; in particular, he has introduced agile and lean methods across multiple different initiatives to improve project efficiency and overall quality. Over the course of his career, he has worked with enterprises clients across numerous industries, including financial services, insurance, healthcare, energy and utilities, education, and professional sports.
Aslam joined West Monroe Partners in 2017; previously, he was a Principal Solutions Architect at frog Design, an innovation design consultancy. There he applied design thinking to help client reimagine key product and service experiences for his clients, ultimately positioning them for evolution and growth. Aslam also has experience as a player-coach; in his role as Principal Architect at Infusion, he directly managed a cross-functional consulting team, while driving the delivery of multiple concurrent projects within the practice area.
Prior to moving to New York, Aslam founded and built Crowd Muscle Research, a Vancouver-based SaaS startup that sought to bring quality primary market research to the mid-market through crowd-sourcing techniques and pattern recognition algorithms. He credits this role for activating his entrepreneurial mindset and passion for building great products.
Earlier in his career, Aslam was a hands-on software engineer, with client facing roles at Avanade and Sierra Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing Science & Business from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver.
