Tyson Hartman is an accomplished technology executive and strategist with a track record for driving innovation in multibillion-dollar technology portfolios and launching high-profit entrepreneurial ventures inside of enterprise-level corporations.
Working with the firm’s Strategic Growth team and Technology practice leaders, Tyson leads West Monroe’s research into technology trends, refines innovation and alliance strategies, and sources innovative concepts and partnerships that leverage both internal and external expertise.
Tyson is a lifelong learner recognized for creating both business and technology solutions to complex problems. Among his areas of emphasis include artificial intelligence, cloud managed services, digital, big data, cybersecurity, and product design and architecture.
Tyson joined West Monroe in 2019 from Avanade, Inc., a global corporation that provides IT consulting and services focused on Microsoft-based technology outcomes with cloud, digital, business applications, and managed services offerings. He was a founding member of the joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture that launched Avanade in 2000. Over the following 18 years, he held various executive roles, most recently as executive vice president for global innovation and incubation. In that capacity, he led end-to-end launches of two entrepreneurial, agile incubator programs to drive innovation and new service offerings in the areas of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Tyson’s other executive roles at Avanade included global chief technology officer, global Microsoft account lead, and executive vice president of platforms, services, and offerings. Earlier in his career, Tyson held several technology and consulting roles with Accenture and Walt Disney Imagineering.
Tyson is a frequent author on topics such as cloud platforms, system modernization, and artificial intelligence. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California and is a member of the IEEE Computer Society.
