With more than 10 years of professional experience, Daniel Glaz drives sustainable change by utilizing lean principles, system implementation of discrete engineered labor standards, production and cost planning, and performance management.
Daniel’s functional experience spans union and non-union operating environments, including the European Union and Canadian marketplaces, in both technical and project management capacities. His areas of expertise include transportation and supply chain logistics, warehousing, time study analysis and original work measurement, process optimization, warehouse and labor management solutions, and end-user training. He has successfully represented several clients in labor audit defense and arbitration proceedings.
Daniel is a highly experienced project and program manager who has led numerous Fortune 500 companies in the distribution, beverage, grocery, and food service industries through complex, transformational initiatives. For example, he guided deployment of a multi-phased labor management program for a multi-national grocery retailer that included semi-automated environments within the European Union marketplace.
Daniel joined West Monroe in 2012 from United Parcel Service (UPS), where he was an industrial engineering supervisor. He held engineering and planning roles across all three major facets of the company’s domestic ground network. Among other responsibilities, he played a key role in consolidation of a feeder network and hub sortation expansion, smart-label routing deployment, and automated sortation deployment and configuration.
Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering with a minor in Business from The Ohio State University. He is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
