Carolyn Gusick is a senior manager in West Monroe Partners’ Energy & Utilities practice, based in New York City with more than 10 years of experience in the energy industry.  

Highlights

Carolyn Gusick is an accomplished project manager with a distinctive blend of skills in financial and market analysis, regulatory support, measurement and reporting of operational metrics, benchmarking, process optimization, corporate strategy, and technology implementation.

Carolyn is currently the Project Manager for a large East Coast IOU leading the launch of a new SharePoint Intranet for over 15,000 employees. She also recently managed a project for an Energy Efficiency company that transitioned 200 national programs to a newly selected work management platform and saved the company $10M through streamlining processes and resources.

In addition to client service responsibilities, Carolyn is a program manager for West Monroe’s Key Account Program in New York, as well as chair of the Women’s Committee and the Career Champions Mentorship program.

Carolyn joined West Monroe Partners from Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG), where she was the manager for the Business Performance Excellence group. She directed the monthly scorecard process for operational KPIs and ran the year-end metric validation process, resulting in an incentive compensation payout for the utility.  She also provided contract management and regulatory support, overseeing day-to-day relationships with external clients and regulators. She participated in the PSEG electric rate case filing by writing expert testimony and managed various other projects in engineering, asset management, and storm restoration.

Previously, Carolyn held several consulting roles with PowerAdvocate and Shaw Consultants International, both firms in the Northeast specializing in the energy industry.

Carolyn earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Villanova University and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from Fordham University. She holds Project Management Professional and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certifications. She is an active community member, volunteering with Girls on the Run New York City and is a certified running coach and can be found training for numerous marathons and triathlons.
