Barbara Duganier is an accomplished senior executive who blends deep understanding of complex industries and organizations with acumen in areas such as risk oversight processes, information systems implementation, and business strategy.
Most recently, Barbara spent nearly a decade with Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services, and outsourcing company. As a leader in the Resources operating group, she helped numerous large, global organizations in the energy, chemicals, mining, and utilities industries become high-performance businesses. She also served in various leadership positions, including global chief strategy officer for the outsourcing business, and global growth and offering development lead for the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) practice.
Previously, Barbara was a consultant with Duke Energy North America, where she led the finance transformation program.
Barbara began her career with Arthur Andersen and spent 23 years with the company, including 12 years as a partner. A licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), she was an auditor and financial consultant and served in various leadership and management roles, including as global chief financial officer of Andersen Worldwide and Business Consulting practice leader for the Southwest Region.
Barbara currently serves on the boards of several public companies and not-for-profit organizations. She is the Chair of the Audit Committee and member of the Governance and Risk committee of the board of MRC Global Inc., the largest global distributor of pipes, valves, and fittings to the energy and industrial markets. She is also, Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Compensation Committee for the board of Buckeye Partners, GP LLC, which has a diversified global network of integrated assets providing midstream energy logistic solutions. In addition, she is a member of the board and Program Committee of the National Association of Corporate Directors, Texas Tricities Chapter; and the former board Chair for the board of Genesys Works, an organization dedicated to placing at-risk students in accounting, IT, and engineering internships.
Barbara earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from John Carroll University and participated in a Management Program of INSEAD in Switzerland.
