Thomas Collins is a senior director in West Monroe Partners’ Financial Services practice, based in Los Angeles. He has more than 30 years of financial services industry and consulting experience, with an emphasis on organizational effectiveness and a strong track record of success in driving transformational and sustainable change.
Tom Collins is an innovative and creative leader with significant experience in creating compelling, data-driven solutions for clients in the commercial banking, retail banking, treasury management, and wealth management sectors. His experience spans commercial lending; organizational effectiveness; commercial credit and risk; banking operations; consumer lending and collections; distribution channel management; digital channel optimization; call center implementation, management, and optimization; and branch staffing and operations.
Tom joined West Monroe Partners as part of West Monroe’s acquisition of CAST Management Consultants, a boutique financial services consultancy serving the top 50 banks and insurance companies for which he was the president and CEO. Before serving as the firm’s leader, he spent more than a decade in vice president and executive vice president roles responsible for developing and managing large strategic relationships with banking industry clients. He also established and led CAST’s Commercial Banking practice for a decade. During that time, CAST became well known as an industry thought leader relative to key strategic issues in commercial banking, such as delivery model design, sales and relationship management effectiveness, commercial credit process optimization, revenue optimization, and client experience enhancement. He also designed CAST’s original ActivityTrak data collection technology solution and led its evolution over 17 years to become a differentiator for the firm and a key part of its data-driven value proposition.
Prior to joining CAST, Tom was executive vice president for corporate development and consumer lending with Dollar Financial Group, an international diversified financial services company. Additionally, he held the position of senior vice president of retail banking at Ocwen Financial Corporation, where he managed the retail banking business. Previously, he was a senior consultant with LoBue Associates, responsible for working with multinational financial institutions served by the firm’s international division.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with concentration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
