Cory Chaplin is a senior director and leader of West Monroe Partners’ Technology practice. He has more than 16 years of experience focused on IT strategy and processes, enterprise architecture, and information management. Applying an innate blend of business and technology acumen, Cory frequently helps clients bridge the gap between business processes and technical implementation. That combination of business and technology experience has been key to leading some of West Monroe Partners’ most transformative and complex projects.
As the Technology practice leader, Cory aligns our team’s skills with market and client needs. As a trusted consultant to business and IT leaders, he helps organizations achieve objectives and transform their businesses through technology, focusing on areas such as visualization of enterprise data, large-scale eCommerce enterprise mobility solutions, systems integration for utility smart grids, and IT due diligence for private equity transactions.
Cory is equally versed in implementing IT solutions and ensuring those solutions address business requirements that deliver the expected impacts. He has strong skills and experience in enterprise architecture and application design and development, with extensive ASP.NET. He also has deep expertise in a variety of data and technology integration platforms, as well as data storage and governance strategies and has led more than 50 IT due diligence projects for private equity and strategic buyers. Cory advises CIOs and CFOs in both tactical and longer-term strategic decisions and implements many of those decisions alongside his team.
Cory began his career in Arthur Andersen’s Business Consulting practice and became one of the early members of West Monroe Partners, joining the firm in 2002.
Cory holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
