Lou Brothers is a specialist in the insurance industry, drawing on years of experience servicing some of the largest Property & Casualty carriers and brokers in strategic transformation including M&A, operations, and technology. He advises private equity and strategic buyers through several stages of the M&A lifecycle including competitive and differentiation analysis, acquisition diligence with a focus on operations and technology, and post-close transformation to realize revenue gain and cost-saving opportunities.
Partnering with his clients, Lou leads teams through a thoughtful process that identifies business risks, market pressures, and opportunities. He then works to bring the whole of West Monroe’s capabilities to address his clients' needs, enabling them to manage risk, scale effectively, and control operating costs through smart use of technology.
Lou joined West Monroe Partners in January 2015 from Mazars, a global accounting and advisory firm, and from LECG, a global economic, consulting and advisory firm. He began his career at Independence Blue Cross, a large healthcare insurance firm.
Lou earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science & Information Systems from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration degree with specializations in Leadership and Strategy from the Stern School of Business, New York University.
