As chief strategy officer, Tom focuses on designing and implementing firmwide strategy, increasing corporate development efforts, and accelerating investment in the firm’s innovation engines – capabilities that have contributed to consistent growth in excess of 20 percent annually. He is also a member of the Investment Committee of West Monroe Capital, a co-investment business he helped design and launch in 2018.
Prior to his appointment as CSO in 2019, Tom was a senior managing director responsible for strategic growth. He also provided leadership for West Monroe’s West Coast region, with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle – the latter of which he founded in 2005.
Over the course of his career, Tom has spent considerable time on both sides of the client/consultant relationship, providing him with a unique mix of business acumen and technology expertise and a distinctive perspective on delivering solutions that address clients’ critical business needs in a timely fashion.
With West Monroe Partners, Tom has led multidisciplinary teams of business consultants and deep technologists to deliver many transformational projects in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, digital transformation, payments, and the alignment of technology with strategic objectives. His clients have included private institutions with under $150 million in assets up to publicly traded firms with revenue in excess of $200 billion.
Before joining West Monroe Partners in 2005, Tom held several key positions with Washington Mutual, including business unit manager for the company's debit card business and vice president/manager for online banking. Previously, he spent several years as a consultant with Saltmine, a Seattle-based internet consulting firm, and with Arthur Andersen's Business Consulting practice, where he was a member of the Strategic Technologies leadership team.
Tom graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame. An active member of the community, he serves on the board of the Student Conservation Association and has led numerous pro-bono efforts for Seattle-area and national non-profits. When he isn’t working, he and his family enjoy the Pacific Northwest’s ample outdoor recreational opportunities.
