Chris Althoff is a senior director with West Monroe Partners and leads the firm's Minneapolis Healthcare practice. He has consulted and collaborated with healthcare executives for more than 15 years to inspire a shared vision and drive large-scale business and technology transformation.
Chris Althoff works with an array of healthcare payers to enable channel, customer experience, and retail engagement strategies. He has a successful track record for driving results through business-driven technology solutions that address regulatory and other enterprise strategic needs.
Through his experience working with leading payers, Chris has also developed and honed critical skills and domain expertise in payer e-Business strategy, digital experience planning, operations, and technology integration. He is highly adept at delivering large-scale, complex programs, leveraging his deep expertise and skills in program management (PMO), organizational change, and IT strategy. He also has led diligence efforts for several major healthcare information technology (HIT) acquisitions.
Chris joined West Monroe Partners in 2016 as part of the firm’s acquisition of Invoyent, LLC, a healthcare business and technology consultancy for which he was a partner. He led the firm’s Digital Experience practice, which focused on the health plan market and its ecosystem, producing core B2B and B2C solutions such as digital innovation, consumer sales and retail lead management, healthcare customer experience, member portal and service experience, and HIT/HIE/provider connectivity.
Previously, Chris held consulting roles with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Deloitte Consulting. He began his career with Accenture.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Kansas State University, and now advises both programs as a member of their respective Advisory Councils.
