Honored by Purdue University and elected to Roosevelt University Board of Trustees
Jim Bedford, director with West Monroe Partners in Chicago, has been selected as the recipient of a 2014 Distinguished Pharmacy Alumnus Award based on a nomination by Purdue University’s Pharmacy School, Dean’s Office. This tradition dates back to an occasion of Purdue’s Centennial in 1984 when Purdue University’s faculty of the College of Pharmacy implemented a Distinguished Alumni Award program to recognize graduates of their academic programs who have been outstanding in pursuit of their careers in the various aspects of the profession of pharmacy. The award is scheduled to be presented to Bedford on behalf of the College of Pharmacy at a luncheon ceremony on Friday, April 4, 2014 in addition to a dinner for the distinguished alumni and selected faculty.
Additionally, Roosevelt University’s Board of Trustees has unanimously elected Jim Bedford to serve a three-year term December 2013 through December 2016. The Roosevelt Board of Trustees has the ultimate responsibility for the governance and oversight of the affairs of Roosevelt University, and plays a key role in advancing the University’s mission – academically, financially, and in the community.
