West Monroe Partners, a North American business and technology consulting firm, today announced that Tony Kong has recently joined the firm’s Seattle office as a director in the Healthcare practice.
Kong joined West Monroe Partners from Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, a Blue Cross Blue Shield licensee in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Utah. Over the course of his career, he has gained deep healthcare industry experience relevant to helping enterprises navigate their most pressing issues, including full-scale operations and process improvement, cost containment, information management, regulatory change, mergers and acquisitions, collaboration, and product/service innovation.

Previously, Kong was an associate partner with Ascentium, a global consulting firm. Other past roles have included chief information officer for Captura, Inc., a global internet business service provider of travel and expense management solutions; director of information technology for Edmark Corporation in Redmond, Washington; MIS manager for Starwave Corporation in Bellevue, Washington; and systems project manager for Group Health Cooperative in Seattle.
He earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree with an emphasis in Organizational Management from the University of Washington and is currently a degree candidate in the University of Notre Dame Executive MBA program.
