States, counties, cities, and local stakeholders are increasingly taking the lead on climate change assessments.

This past August, The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine organized a two-day workshop to engage with people involved in the California climate assessment as well as those involved in assessment efforts in other states to discuss challenges and best practices.
