Join Senior Manager Maureen Jesuthasan at BRM's Connect session, "A BRMs Guide to Lean Leadership," as she will highlight the shared goals of Lean & Business Relationship Management bodies of knowledge and to introduce Lean techniques that can enhance your professional relationships.
The BRMs role is to ‘…stimulate, surface, and shape business demand.’ Business demand is shaped by the interactions that we have with the people who perform the work that produces a desired result. To achieve this goal, a BRM should also be able to stimulate and inspire employees through dialog and by setting challenging expectations at the individual level. Showing true interest in how employees execute their tasks, while not telling them how to do to their work, is one of the key attributes of Lean Leadership. To be a Lean Leader is to lead by following the guiding principles of the Shingo Model for Operational Excellence, which are:
- Respect Every Individual
- Lead with Humility
- Create Constancy of Purpose
- Think Systemically
This session will apply a Lean lens on how to effectively seek methods on how to identify opportunities for improvement while making time to help others to develop and committing to self-development. We will open your mind even further to the power of BRM to influence all areas at all levels, and radically evolve your organization.
