With West Monroe's help, Avenue World Holdings was ready for the first day of school with fully integrated core systems and a foundation for seamless school operations.

Avenues World Holdings is a private school headquartered in New York City. It is preparing to open its first of 20 projected campuses in New York City, with other schools planned for locations around the world. The  organization’s goal is that each student graduates with language fluency, multiple opportunities to study abroad, and strong academic and leadership skills.

Avenues World Holdings has much to accomplish in a short time as it prepares to open its first campus. One of the organization’s critical needs was to select core software applications required for day-one operations. Amid other priorities, the school’s staff did not have the time required to dedicate to the search effort, nor did it have the expertise to evaluate the many potential software vendors that can address key operational needs.

The organization wanted to create a best-of-breed approach that provides a single sign-on environment, minimizes integration among software vendors, and enables staff and/or students to:

Comprehensive evaluation.
West Monroe Partners worked with Avenues World Holdings to define the organization’s business requirements, including those necessary for day-one operations. Using these requirements, the West Monroe team then evaluated a multitude of vendors whose products covered the areas of school operations, finance, and human resources.

After narrowing down the list of potential vendors, West Monroe Partners created and distributed a Request for Proposal to help the client and the project team understand vendor functionality and determine which vendors would best meet Avenues World Holdings’ business requirements.

After careful evaluation, Avenues World Holdings invited several vendors to complete on-site software demonstrations. West Monroe Partners scheduled and facilitated the demonstrations and participated in evaluation of each vendor—helping Avenues World Holdings create the best-of-breed environment it sought.

Based on these demonstrations and responses to both the Request for Information and subsequent Request for Proposal, the organization selected the systems to address its operational, finance, and human resources needs.
