Business in the right direction

February 2008

To our clients and friends:

I hope your year is off to a productive start. The markets we serve appear to be strong at the start of 2008, but we remain cautious with all the talk of recessionary times ahead.

Since opening its doors in 2004 with two people, our Montreal office has played a vital role in helping build our business and technology consulting capabilities. Like the rest of our organization, our Montreal practice has grown rapidly, serving clients across Quebec and other areas of Canada and doing some innovative work in supply chain, enterprise systems, and other disciplines.

To support our growing practice in Canada, we have just launched a French version of our website. French is the native language of about a quarter of the Canadian population, and having a bilingual Internet presence is vital to marketing our capabilities and serving clients in Ontario and Quebec. This new facet of our website highlights our people, client work, credentials, and capabilities, as well as career opportunities available with West Monroe Partners. We will continue to add French content to the site over the coming months.

To accommodate its recent growth, our team in Montreal also is starting the new year in new space downtown on Sherbrooke Street. If you are in the area, we invite you to visit.

In this month’s newsletter, we address several topics that are receiving significant market attention:

  • “Green” supply chain initiatives that can produce business benefits as well as environmental benefits
  • Microsoft’s recent enhancements to its CRM application, including a complementary on-demand option
  • The potential advantages of adding a metadata “layer” to your business intelligence system

I hope you find these relevant and useful. As always, we welcome your suggestions for topics to cover in future issues.
