West Monroe Partners is currently seeking a Consulting Manager with strong ERP project management skills to join our Enterprise Solution line and help drive and deliver business in the Chicago market and beyond. This opportunity is located in our Chicago office.

Manager level consultants at West Monroe Partners have three main areas of responsibility:
1. Client Delivery
a. Communicate and report project status to C-level executives and Finance management, including budget, risks, issues, etc.
b. Report budget and finances
c. Mentor and manage teams of younger consultants to be able to keep project on time as well as QA of work done by the team.
d. Understand the underlying technologies being used on a project to be able to direct how to design, develop, test, and implement a technical development project
e. Quickly respond to client requests for immediate issues while also being able to drive projects to completion
f. Analyze each client's specific request and determine the underlying problem and recommend proper solutions
g. On larger engagements, be able to work with larger management teams and determine independencies between the WMP project and other initiatives

2. Practice Development
a. Identify strengths and issues; drive and develop better behavior to create strong consultants
b. Participate actively in the recruiting process for other consultants
c. Drive the development/enhancement of WMP’s methodologies and approaches to client delivery
d. Coach and manage other consultants and actively participate in the performance expectation process

3. Business Development
a. Help initiate and lead business development meetings with prospective clients
b. Understand business needs and requirements and help turn those goals into concrete projects and detailed proposals
c. Creating work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for prospects
d. Actively build a professional network and affiliate network in the local community

• Bachelor of Science in accounting, finance, business operations or similar
• Minimum of 5 years experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Software is required, must also have experience in the Manufacturing industry
• Strong project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience, change management, strategic planning and analysis
• Must have experience managing a variety of teams, including small engagements as well as large initiatives. Should have experience estimating project work and cost.
• Must have a desire and to develop new business and manage client relationships
• Has experience or proficiency with finance and technology projects and has “been there, done that” experience.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and quality experience.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong communication skills to be able to work with clients and present to C-level executives.
• Experience in developing work plans, project scopes, pricing estimates, and presentations to be able to assist in selling work to clients
• Thoroughly and accurately understand issues and analyze the problem in a systemic fashion
