West Monroe Partners Named One of Chicago’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For
CHICAGO, Illinois - August 13, 2007 - For the second straight year, Chicago-based West Monroe Partners, a full-service business and technology consultancy, has been named one of Chicago’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the National Association of Business Resources (NABR). The award was presented August 6th at the NABR’s symposium and awards celebration at the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook. West Monroe Partners’ selection recognizes the company’s commitment to building a different type of consulting organization—one that has put people first as it has evolved from a start up to multi-location, 200-person firm over five years. Among its innovative people practices are an ownership program in which every member of the company participates, practices designed to counter the demands of a travel-intensive profession, and an initiative to bring together all company personnel for a face-to-face meeting once per year. “West Monroe Partners is proud to be a part of a very prestigious group of companies again this year,” said Dean Fischer, president of West Monroe Partners. “Our organization has experienced significant expansion over the past two years—in terms of geography, the size of our team, and the scope of our work. Such change can challenge an organization’s fundamental values, but our people have demonstrated a real commitment to doing what it takes to sustain our unique culture and sense of family.” The National Association of Business Resources recognizes Chicago-area companies that demonstrate excellence in human resources practices within a variety of categories. One of 74 companies selected this year, West Monroe Partners was judged in the following categories: communication, community initiatives, compensation and benefits, diversity and multi-culturalism, employee education and development, employee engagement and commitment, recognition and retention, recruitment and selection, and work-life balance. The rigorous selection process includes the review of quantitative and qualitative data by an independent market research company, as well as extensive employee surveys.
