Matt Sondag Joins West Monroe Partners as Director

Chicago, IL – July 15, 2009 – West Monroe Partners, a full-service business and technology consultancy, today announced that Matt Sondag has joined the firm as a Director in its Chicago Enterprise practice. Sondag, an accomplished consultant and entrepreneur with 13 years of business and IT consulting experience, will work with West Monroe Partners’ private equity and corporate clients to address pre- and post-transaction needs.

Sondag’s experience developing solutions tailored for executives will add depth to West Monroe Partners’ Enterprise practice and to its capabilities for serving organizations involved in corporate transactions. Recognized as a leader in this area, West Monroe Partners has worked with more than 50 strategic and financial buyers, including leading private equity firms, on more than 250 transactions totaling over a billion in value. Sondag will assist buyers with pre-transaction IT and operational due diligence, a West Monroe Partners specialty, as well as post-close integration, merger and carve-out planning and execution.

Sondag joins West Monroe Partners from Five9 Technologies LLC, a consulting organization for which he was the Co-Founder and Executive Vice President. He was responsible for corporate strategy and performance, as well as development and delivery of IT service management solutions to FORTUNE® 2000 organizations.

Previously, Sondag co-founded Ecotopia, a Northbrook, Illinois-based organization that partnered with an engineering company to market smart home power distribution units, and fulfilled several key consulting roles with Arthur Andersen’s Advanced Technology group. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Miami University (Ohio). He has been active in the Chicago community throughout his career, including Co-Founder and President of Sweet Hope Chicago, Co-Founder of the Five9 Foundation Charity, volunteer with the Children’s Memorial Heartlight Program, and volunteer with the Lincoln Park Homeless Shelter.
