Jim May Joins West Monroe Partners’ National Supply Chain Practice
Chicago – October 11, 2011 - West Monroe Partners, a North American business and technology consulting firm, today announced that Jim May has joined the firm as a senior executive in the firm’s national Supply Chain practice. May, who has more than 25 years of consulting and industry experience, much of it in supply chain and lean manufacturing disciplines, is based in Chicago.
Over the course of his career, May has helped enterprises across all sectors and across the globe improve operations and efficiency, optimize inventory, reduce costs, address compliance requirements, and implement transformational technology solutions.
May joined West Monroe Partners from Resources Global Professionals, a supply chain management consultancy, where he worked with Fortune 100 enterprises on lean, strategic sourcing, 3PL, sales and operations planning, inventory optimization, and other programs. Prior to that, he was vice president of Service Delivery for Pomeroy IT Solutions, responsible for consulting services and field service delivery, as well as national “Advanced Technology” partnerships and major outsourcing programs.

Earlier in his career, May was a managing director in the Transportation practice for BearingPoint, Inc.; a partner in Arthur Andersen’s Southeast Region Supply Chain practice; a pre-sales consultant for i2 Technologies; and a senior consultant with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). In addition, he has held industry management positions with The Coca-Cola Company, Lever Brothers, and Quaker Oats. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from The Pennsylvania State University.
