West Monroe Partners Named "101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For"

CHICAGO, Illinois - August 11, 2008 - West Monroe Partners, a full-service business and technology consultancy, announced today that it has been named one of Chicago’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR) for the third consecutive year. The award was presented August 4th at the NABR’s symposium and awards celebration at the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook.

West Monroe Partners’ selection recognizes the company’s continuing commitment to put people first as it has evolved from a start up to a seven-location firm of nearly 250 consultants over six years. Among its innovative people practices are an ownership program in which every member of the company participates, policies designed to counter the demands of a travel-intensive profession, staff-led local community service initiatives, and a unique emphasis on communication and collaboration among its professionals.

“We are pleased that the marketplace continues to recognize West Monroe Partners’ commitment to being a rewarding place to work,” said Kevin McCarty, managing director of West Monroe Partners and leader of the firm’s Chicago office. “But, what is even more important to me is that we are not coasting on our reputation. Over the past year, we have continued to listen to our people and to make important enhancements designed to help our people to achieve their potential and be great at what they do.”

The National Association for Business Resources established the award program four years ago to honor companies that recognize employees as their greatest asset and to showcase the policies and best practices that demonstrate why each of the recognized companies is an ideal place to work. This year’s winners were judged in the following categories: communication, community initiatives, compensation and benefits, diversity and multi-culturalism, employee education and development, employee engagement and commitment, recognition and retention, recruitment and selection, and work-life balance. The rigorous selection process includes the review of quantitative and qualitative data by an independent market research company, as well as extensive employee surveys.
